No One Understands Our Pain: Rakul Preet Singh’s Husband

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starred in the high-budget film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which was released last summer. However, the film failed to perform at the box office, leading to significant financial losses for the producers. In a recent statement, producer Jackky Bhagnani, who is also the husband of actress Rakul Preet Singh, spoke for the first time about the repercussions of the film’s failure.

Jackky Bhagnani said the outcome of the film taught him a major life lesson. “The release of this film made it clear that producing a project on a grand scale alone does not guarantee success. We need to reflect on why the audience could not connect with our content. The audience’s judgment is always right. Without blaming them, I will take this as a lesson and ensure that such mistakes do not happen in the future,” he stated.

Speaking about the film’s collections, Jackky Bhagnani said, “Our film earned less than 50 percent of the investment at the box office. No one truly understands the pain we went through. We even had to mortgage our properties to make this film. But discussing these matters now serves no purpose.” He acknowledged that their intention was to generate profits through the film but admitted they were unable to achieve that goal.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was made as a science fiction action entertainer. The film featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and Sonakshi Sinha in key roles. According to film analysts, despite being produced on a massive budget of approximately ₹350 crore, the film managed to gross only ₹102 crore worldwide. Following his marriage to actress Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani has become well-known among Telugu audiences as well.
