“Jagan Is a True Fighter”: MLC Kavitha’s Striking Comments Spark Buzz

In a recent interview with an English news channel, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Member of Legislative Council Kalvakuntla Kavitha made notable remarks about YSRCP President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. During the discussion, she also touched upon national politics, current challenges facing the BRS, and developments in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.

Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated that Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently engaged in a strong political fight in Andhra Pradesh. She described him as possessing all the qualities expected in a Leader of the Opposition. “I like Jagan very much,” said Kalvakuntla Kavitha, calling him “a good fighter.” She further mentioned that she particularly liked “Jagan Mohan Reddy 2.0,” referring to his political resurgence and leadership style in his current role. Highlighting his political journey, she said, “Jagan has faced many hardships in his political life, and now he is effectively fighting as the Leader of the Opposition.”

In the same interview, Kalvakuntla Kavitha also made controversial remarks about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. She said it was unfortunate that Pawan Kalyan had become the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. Criticizing his alliances, she alleged, “He has formed partnerships with every party in Andhra Pradesh except the YSRCP.” She further claimed, “Pawan Kalyan is not a serious political leader, and his statements do not need to be taken seriously.” Kalvakuntla Kavitha criticized inconsistencies in his public statements, alleging that “his announcements often contradict one another.”
