MLC Kavitha Makes Sensational Comments, Mocks Pawan Kalyan’s Political Journey

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Kalvakuntla Kavitha made sensational comments about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. In an interview given to a media outlet, Kalvakuntla Kavitha remarked that it was unfortunate that Pawan Kalyan became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. She criticized him for aligning with all political parties in the state except the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).
Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated, “Pawan Kalyan is not a serious politician, and there is no need to give importance to his statements.” Her comments came in response to a question about how the public would react to Pawan Kalyan’s recent remarks encouraging people to learn Hindi. The video clip of this interview has gone viral on social media.
She further criticized Pawan Kalyan for deviating from his initial political stance. “At the beginning of his political journey, Pawan Kalyan appeared to embrace leftist ideology. He even allied with the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), claiming Che Guevara as his inspiration,” Kalvakuntla Kavitha said.
“However, after abandoning leftist ideology, he gravitated toward Hindutva and formed an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which brought changes in his behavior,” she added. According to her, Pawan Kalyan has now developed an excessive devotion to Hindutva. She mocked his statements as inconsistent and lacking coherence, remarking, “One should not be surprised if he goes to Tamil Nadu tomorrow and talks about imposing Hindi.”
Kalvakuntla Kavitha pointed out that Pawan Kalyan was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) 15 years after founding his political party and unexpectedly became Deputy Chief Minister, which she described as a misfortune for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
