Court gives go ahead for MAA chief election but puts counting on hold

Hyderabad,March 27, 2015: The City civil court of Hyderabad on Friday gave the go-ahead for MAA (Movie Artistes Association ) to conduct election on March 29 to elect new president in place of the outgoing president Murali Mohan. The court however ordered the MAA officials not to take up counting of votes polled in the election till further orders. The civil court has also ordered that the polling process be video-graphed and the footage preserved. The court gave the orders on a petition filed by member of the MAA and artiste O.Kalyan alleging illegalities in the conduct of the election.
