Borugadda Anil’s Legal Battle Ends as He Surrenders in Jail
Borugadda Anil, a YSR Congress Party leader and rowdy-sheeter, has surrendered at the Rajamahendravaram Central Jail. He was previously arrested in a case involving derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh, Jana Sena Party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and their family members. Anil had been out on interim bail, granted on the grounds of his mother’s ill health, but his bail period ended on Tuesday evening.

Despite the High Court's clear directive that there would be no extension of his interim bail and that he must surrender by 5 PM on March 11, Anil remained untraceable, leading to speculation about his next move. However, on Wednesday morning, he discreetly arrived at Rajamahendravaram Central Jail and surrendered before the jail superintendent, avoiding media attention.

His attempts to secure an extension of his bail on the grounds of his mother’s health had been unsuccessful, as the High Court had categorically rejected any further relief.
