Andhra Cricketer Nagaraju Seeks Forgiveness for False Complaint Against Kodela Family
Former Andhra Ranji cricketer Nagaraju appeared before the Narasaraopet court today (March 8) in connection with a case involving a ₹15 lakh bribe allegation. Previously, Nagaraju had lodged a complaint against Kodela Sivaprasad and his son, Kodela Sivaram, accusing them of fraud related to securing a railway department job.
Speaking in court, Nagaraju revealed that he filed the complaint against Kodela Sivaprasad’s family under pressure from Vijayasai and Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy. He alleged that he was coerced into filing the case and was threatened that he would not be allowed to play Ranji cricket if he refused. "There is no truth in my complaint against the Kodela family," Nagaraju clarified, seeking forgiveness from Kodela’s supporters for filing a false case. He also praised Kodela Sivaprasad’s contributions to the development of Narasaraopet and surrounding areas.
In 2019, Nagaraju had filed a complaint at Narasaraopet Two Town Police Station, alleging that Kodela Sivaprasad and Kodela Sivaram had taken a large sum of money from him, promising a railway department job. He specifically claimed in his complaint that he had paid ₹15 lakh to Kodela Sivaram. Following this, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Now, Nagaraju’s statement clearing the Kodela family of wrongdoing has drawn significant attention.
