Jagan Takes a Dig at Pawan Kalyan: "More Than a Corporator, Less Than an MLA"
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made sharp remarks about Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Speaking at a press conference at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Jagan responded to media queries regarding Pawan Kalyan's comments on YSRCP’s opposition status.

When reporters brought up Pawan Kalyan's statement that YSRCP would not be granted opposition status in Andhra Pradesh and that the number of seats it won would only qualify for such status in Germany, Jagan responded with a jibe. "That man is more than a corporator, but less than an MLA. He has won as an MLA only once in his life," Jagan remarked.

Jagan also pointed out that during his tenure, his government had granted opposition status to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N. Chandrababu Naidu. He revealed that some YSRCP leaders had suggested poaching 10 TDP MLAs, but he opposed the idea and ensured that Chandrababu Naidu retained the opposition status. Jagan further stated that opposition status is not granted based on arbitrary numbers and emphasized that no such provision exists when a party falls below the required threshold.
