Alapati Rajendra Prasad Wins Krishna-Guntur MLC Election with Massive Lead
Alapati Rajendra Prasad, the coalition candidate, has achieved a decisive victory in the Krishna-Guntur Graduate MLC constituency elections. Even with two rounds of vote counting remaining, he surpassed the required majority. As of 5:50 AM, he had secured a lead of 82,320 votes, ultimately winning with a total of 1,18,070 votes.

By the end of all nine counting rounds, Alapati Rajendra Prasad defeated his nearest rival, sitting MLC K.S. Lakshmana Rao, who was backed by the PDF, by a margin of 82,320 votes. A total of 2,41,873 votes were cast in this election.

Meanwhile, in the Uttarandhra Teachers’ MLC constituency, Gade Srinivasulu Naidu emerged victorious. In a closely contested race, he defeated APTF-backed candidate Pakalapati Raghu Varma.

In the East-West Godavari Graduate MLC elections, coalition candidate Perabattula Rajashekharam maintained an early lead. After the first round of counting, he secured 16,520 votes out of the total 28,000 votes polled. Independent candidate Didla Veeraraghava received 5,818 votes.
