Rohit Sharma Misses Catch, Denies Axar Patel a Hat-Trick; Offers Dinner as an Apology
Indian captain Rohit Sharma offered dinner to bowler Axar Patel after dropping a catch that denied him a hat-trick during a Champions Trophy match against Bangladesh in Dubai.

Axar Patel had already taken two wickets in consecutive deliveries and was on the verge of achieving a hat-trick when Rohit Sharma, stationed in the slips, missed a straightforward catch. Realizing his mistake, Sharma immediately gestured an apology on the field.

Later, he expressed regret over the missed opportunity, admitting that it was an easy catch and that he should have taken it. "I was ready in the slips to take the catch, but it just happened that way," Sharma said, acknowledging his disappointment.

He once again apologized to Axar Patel for costing him the hat-trick and humorously added, "Maybe I'll take him out for dinner."
