ICC Takes Key Decision on India’s Matches in Champions Trophy 2025
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to begin in three days, with the tournament scheduled to take place in Pakistan and Dubai from February 19. This edition of the tournament will follow the One Day International (ODI) format. In a significant decision regarding India’s matches, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the release of additional tickets for games featuring the Indian team.

India has been placed in Group A of the Champions Trophy, which will be played in a hybrid model. The team is set to face Bangladesh on February 20, arch-rival Pakistan on February 23, and New Zealand on March 2 in the league stage. While tickets for these matches were already made available, ICC has now released additional tickets, bringing good news for Indian cricket fans.

All of India’s matches in the tournament will be played in Dubai. If India qualifies for the final, the title match will also take place in Dubai instead of Pakistan. Regarding ticket availability, ICC stated that only a limited number of tickets are currently available for the semi-finals, while tickets for the final have not yet been released.

ICC clarified that the final venue—whether Lahore or Dubai—will depend on India's progress in the tournament. If India is eliminated in the semi-finals, the final will take place in Lahore. However, if India advances to the final, the match will be held in Dubai. Consequently, ICC stated that final match tickets will only be released after the semi-finals conclude.
