Every Household Must Have an AI Professional: CM Chandrababu
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stated that the government envisions having an Artificial Intelligence (AI) professional in every household in the state. He emphasized that AI is being widely promoted to ensure its extensive usage across homes. On Monday, during a review meeting on Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) held at the Secretariat, Chandrababu noted that just as the state had excelled in IT in the past, harnessing AI on a large scale could yield remarkable outcomes. He highlighted that integrating technology in governance enhances efficiency, delivers better services to citizens, and achieves impactful results.
The Chief Minister stressed that all government departments should effectively utilize technology to improve their performance, aiming for a growth rate of 15–20%. He announced that the government had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Google. As part of this collaboration, government departments are encouraged to link their data with RTGS, which Google would then analyze using AI to suggest actionable insights for implementation in various departments. Chandrababu also revealed plans to soon launch WhatsApp Governance Services, enabling citizens to access facilities like birth and death certificates via WhatsApp.
K. Dinesh Kumar, the Chief Executive Officer of RTGS, shared that the integration of data from all government departments is progressing swiftly. Based on the collected data, a unique profile is being created for every village. He further stated that efforts are being made to gather data for citizens not currently recorded in government databases.
