Pakistan Ends WTC Campaign in Worst Fashion
This loss has pushed Pakistan to the bottom of the World Test Championship points table. During the 2023–25 cycle, Pakistan played 14 Tests but managed to win only 5 while losing 9. With a points percentage of just 27.89, this is Pakistan's worst-ever performance in a WTC cycle.
In the inaugural WTC edition, Pakistan won 3 out of 6 matches, achieving a points percentage of 43.3. In the following cycle (2021–23), they secured only 4 wins and ended with a points percentage of 38.1, placing them seventh. However, in the current cycle, they have dropped to the bottom of the standings. At present, South Africa leads the WTC table with a points percentage of 69.44, followed by Australia (63.73) and India (50) in the second and third spots, respectively.
