Jagan Must Understand Why YSRCP is Losing Ground: Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy
Andhra Pradesh Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy launched a scathing attack on YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, urging him to understand the reasons behind the party's decline. He alleged that Jagan’s governance relies on intimidation and vendettas. “Jagan needs to ask himself if his thoughts about elections are daydreams or night dreams,” Parthasarathy remarked.
Criticizing YSRCP leaders for their remarks about Sankranti celebrations, Parthasarathy accused them of making baseless and uninformed statements. He said, “YSRCP leaders are speaking without understanding who the festival truly belongs to.” He further targeted former minister R.K. Roja, commenting that she frequently makes hollow statements.
Parthasarathy highlighted key achievements of the coalition government, emphasizing its commitment to public welfare. He pointed out that Anna Canteens have been reintroduced to serve meals to the poor for just ₹5. He also noted that the coalition government repealed the Land Titling Act to ease public concerns. Additionally, he praised Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kumar for leading infrastructure development under the NREGS program, resulting in cement roads for rural areas.
Comparing the investment climate under the coalition government with that of the YSRCP’s tenure, Parthasarathy said, “During YSRCP rule, foreign investments amounted to only ₹6,679 crore. In contrast, our government has attracted ₹85,000 crore within just six months.” He added that several major companies are now coming forward to invest in the state. He cited the recent approval of compressed biogas (CBG) plants with investments totaling ₹65,000 crore as an example of their success.
Commenting on the controversy regarding gravel mining in Nuzvid, Parthasarathy suggested that local MLA Yarlagadda Venkata Rao might have spoken without full knowledge of the facts.
