Air India Becomes First Indian Airline to Offer In-Flight Wi-Fi
The airline has clarified that the Wi-Fi services will be subject to satellite connectivity, bandwidth availability, the aircraft's route, and government regulations. Passengers will be able to use their laptops, tablets, and smartphones to access the internet at altitudes exceeding 10,000 feet.
Initially, the Wi-Fi services will be available on select aircraft, including the Airbus A350, Airbus A321neo, and Boeing 787-9 models, which operate on routes to cities such as New York, London, Paris, and Singapore. The rollout will then gradually extend to domestic flights.
