Former Andhra Pradesh Minister and YSR Congress Party leader Perni Nani has approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking protection against arrest in connection with a case involving the alleged misappropriation of ration rice from a godown. The Machilipatnam Taluka Police have registered a case against Perni Nani, naming him as Accused 6 (A6). His potential arrest remains a possibility, prompting him to file a lunch motion petition requesting the court’s intervention.
The High Court has agreed to hear his petition later today, post 2 PM.
Meanwhile, Perni Nani's wife, Jayasudha, who is listed as Accused 1 (A1) in the case, has already been granted anticipatory bail. Four other accused in the case are currently in judicial remand at the Machilipatnam Sub-Jail.
