Congress Government’s Remarkable Achievement in a Year: Minister Komatireddy
“This is a remarkable achievement of the Congress government in a short span of one year,” Minister Komatireddy stated, adding that the tenders reflect Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s initiative and dedication. He described the day as a historic moment to be inscribed in golden letters in Telangana’s history and noted that the RRR project would pave the way for a brighter future for the state’s youth.
The tender submissions for the RRR project will be accepted from December 27 to February 14 until 11:30 AM, with the bids scheduled to be opened on February 14 by NHAI.
Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy shared that he, along with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, made numerous representations to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to push for the project. He criticized the previous government for its negligence, claiming that despite the RRR proposal being introduced in 2017, the project had seen significant delays. Since taking office in December 2023, he said, he had been working tirelessly to accelerate progress on the Regional Ring Road.
The minister further elaborated that the Chief Minister and he held several meetings with district collectors to resolve issues related to land acquisition. Comparing the RRR to the Outer Ring Road (ORR), he said, “While the ORR was a game-changer, the RRR will be a super game-changer.” He emphasized the pivotal role the RRR would play in Telangana’s development.
