CBI requests extension for filing counter in Kavitha Bail Case

A hearing on the bail petitions of BRS MLC Kavitha in the Delhi liquor policy case was held in the Delhi High Court on Friday. While the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed its counter-petition, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has requested additional time. The ED has submitted a counter-petition opposing the grant of bail to Kavitha.

The CBI informed the court that it will file its counter-petition by May 27 and its chargesheet by June 7. Meanwhile, the ED lawyers stated that they are prepared to present their arguments. However, the judge indicated that the case would be taken up after the hearings of other listed cases.

Arguments Adjourned to Monday

The High Court has adjourned the arguments on Kavitha's bail petition in the ED case to Monday. The court directed the ED to provide the details of the counter-petition to Kavitha's lawyer by Sunday evening. Subsequently, the arguments were adjourned to Monday.
