Judgment on Kavita's Bail Petition Due Today in the Delhi Liquor Scam Case

BRS MLC Kavita, who is currently held in Tihar Jail, awaits the final judgment on her bail petition today in connection with the Delhi liquor scam case. Initially detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers on March 15, she was subsequently placed in judicial custody by the Rouse Avenue Court. On April 11, as part of the investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested her, leading her to seek bail in the CBI case from the same court.

Kavita's lawyers argued in court that there were no valid reasons for her arrest. However, CBI's lawyers countered, urging the court not to grant bail, labeling her as a key figure in the liquor scam. After hearing both parties, the court deferred its decision, leading up to today's anticipated judgment. It is worth noting that Kavita's previous request for interim bail had already been denied.
