K. Keshava Rao, a member of the Rajya Sabha, has bid farewell to the BRS and is set to join the Congress along with his daughter, the Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalakshmi. Today, he met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. There is a possibility that Keshava Rao will join the Congress in the presence of the party's senior leader Sonia Gandhi.

Speaking to the media today, he mentioned that the perception among people is that the BRS party is being run like a family business. He stressed that no party should alienate its cadre and criticized BRS for not correcting its mistakes, which led to its defeat in some instances.

Keshava Rao mentioned that KCR had promised to merge the party with Congress if Telangana was formed, a promise he did not fulfill. He expressed his inability to forget the respect and honor given to him by BRS and KCR but also praised the Congress Party as the greatest party in India.
