MLC Kavita withdraws Writ petition in Supreme Court

Hyderabad: In the Delhi liquor scam, it is known that Kavita, who is in ED custody, is being interrogated by the authorities. On the other hand, Kavita has withdrawn the writ petition she had filed in the Supreme Court challenging the summons issued to her by the ED. Kavita filed the writ petition last year on March 14.

Today, during the arguments in the Supreme Court, Kavita's lawyer Vikram Choudhary presented his arguments, stating that there is no need for an inquiry into the writ petition and hence, they are withdrawing it. Consequently, the bench comprising Justice Bela Trivedi and Justice Pankaj Mittal accepted the withdrawal of the petition. On another note, the Supreme Court has begun hearing another petition challenging the legality of Kavita's arrest by the ED.
