In light of Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan's announcement to contest in the elections from Pithapuram Assembly constituency, the TDP cadres in Pithapuram are seething with anger. The faction supporting SVSN Varma, who is aspiring for the TDP ticket from Pithapuram, expressed severe discontent.
Following Pawan Kalyan's declaration today to contest from Pithapuram, followers of former MLA Varma plunged into agitation. Varma's supporters burned TDP flags and flex banners, accusing the party of betraying Varma.
The local TDP cadres are chanting slogans, demanding that the Pithapuram ticket be given to SVSN Varma. They are urging Varma to contest as an independent if not provided with the party ticket.
