Former Minister Gollapalli Surya Rao Joins YSRCP, Criticizes TDP Leadership

Amaravati: Former minister Gollapalli Surya Rao has resigned from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) today. Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy personally welcomed him into the YSRCP by draping a party scarf around him. Following this, Gollapalli Surya Rao addressed the media.


He detailed his dedication while working in the TDP and described the adverse conditions he faced within the party. Gollapalli Surya Rao accused N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh of treating him with negligence and acting as if he was unnecessary for the party.

Gollapalli Surya Rao criticized Chandrababu Naidu for being silent in his quest for power and alleged that Lokesh was running the party in a harmful manner. He expressed his disappointment, saying that when Chandrababu Naidu turned his back on him, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy warmly welcomed him during his time of distress. He vowed to work tirelessly for the YSRCP under the leadership of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, ensuring that the party remains strong in the state.
