KTR Responds to the Verdict in the Death Case of Jahnavi in America, Requests Jayashankar's Intervention

Kandula Jahnavi (23), belonging to Kurnool district, died in a road accident in Seattle, America, which deeply saddened TRS Working President KTR. Last year, while she was crossing the road, a police patrol vehicle hit her at high speed, leading to her instant death. Following her death, the dismissive remarks by officer Kevin Dave sparked severe criticism in America as well.

The Indian government has taken this issue seriously and demanded immediate action against the officer involved. Seattle Police reported that the impact threw Jahnavi more than 100 meters away.

However, an American court stated that there was insufficient evidence against the police officer responsible for Jahnavi's death, indicating that no action would be taken against him. In this context, KTR expressed his response via X, urging the Indian Embassy in America to intervene immediately.

He requested that discussions be held with American authorities to ensure justice for Jahnavi's family. He also appealed to the Foreign Minister, Jayashankar, to intervene immediately and engage with the American government to ensure an impartial investigation. KTR mentioned that it was deeply saddening for Jahnavi, who had high aspirations, to die in such a manner, and even more troubling that the case was dismissed without justice being served.
