Kodali Nani's fiery response on Gudivada ticket controversy

Vijayawada: In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling YSRCP's recent changes and additions are causing tension among its leaders. The party high command has already shown a tough stance towards several sitting members, and there's a rumour that key leaders might not receive tickets to contest in the upcoming elections. Recently, the name of Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani, known to be a trusted ally of YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, surfaced in discussions. Rumours have been circulating since yesterday that Nani might not be given the Gudivada ticket this time, and instead, it could be given to Mandava Hanumantha Rao.

Responding to these speculations, Kodali Nani made interesting comments. He said that the decision on who will contest from Gudivada will be made by their leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, questioning what relevance outsiders have in this decision. He criticized those spreading rumours, suggesting that if the listeners are Telugu people, then the one spreading rumours must be Chandrababu Naidu. He stated that even those with white ration cards have been given tickets by Jagan, implying that allegations of needing to indulge in flattery, brokerage, or having money to get a ticket in YSRCP are baseless. Nani also demanded that Chandrababu Naidu, like Jagan, should give tickets to BC, SC, and ST candidates.

Addressing the flex banners that emerged about Hanumantha Rao getting the ticket, Nani commented that someone with grudges put up the flex overnight and removed it by morning. He challenged Chandrababu Naidu to contest against him in Gudivada if he dares. Kodali Nani expressed confidence that Jagan will remain the Chief Minister permanently and alleged that the rumours about him and Vallabhaneni Vamsi not getting tickets are part of a conspiracy and false propaganda. He affirmed that both he and Vamsi would contest from Gudivada and Gannavaram, respectively.
