Telangana Minister Konda Surekha delivered a strong counter to YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh. She responded sharply on Thursday to his recent remarks predicting the downfall of the Congress government in Telangana. She suggested that YSRCP leaders should first ensure their government's return to power in Andhra Pradesh without causing its downfall before thinking about the Congress government in Telangana. She emphasized the need for the YSRCP to focus on maintaining their governance in Andhra Pradesh in the upcoming elections.

Revanth Reddy's Government Will Last Five Years

Konda Surekha remarked that those predicting the collapse of the Congress government were merely daydreaming. She confidently stated that under Revanth Reddy's leadership, the Congress will complete a full five-year term, during which they will fulfill their promises.

Konda Surekha Questions Kavitha's Moral Right to Speak on TSPSC

She also questioned MLC Kavitha's moral right to speak on the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), citing that thousands of students suffered injustices during the BRS regime. She argued that the BRS had no right to use the term TSPSC and criticized the appointment of Mahender Reddy as chairman as a government-influenced decision. Surekha mocked Kavitha's lack of work and suggested that her financial sources dried up with the loss of BRS power, leading to desperate measures against the government. She dismissed these actions as baseless allegations.

Telangana is TG, Not TS

Surekha clarified that the abbreviation for Telangana should be TG, not TS, reminding that no other state uses 'S' in its abbreviation. She highlighted the widespread acceptance of the Telangana anthem during the movement and accused the BRS of failing to officialize it upon gaining power, a step her party has now taken. She also mentioned the decision to redesign the statue of Mother Telangana, arguing it was initially crafted in a demeaning manner.
