AP: Miss Universe Singapore visits Srikakulam, says want to improve people’s lives
Srikakulam, July 11: Nandita Banna, who won Miss Universe Singapore title in 2021 and secured place in the top sixteen in Miss Universe beauty pageant event visited her native place at Chinna Bazaar here. As her parents settled in Singapore, she was born and brought up there and currently she is pursuing double degree at Singapore Management University.
Speaking on the occasion, Nandita said she came to Srikakulam to celebrate her success in beauty contest with her relatives and family friends. “I am very happy for getting immense support from Telugu people,” she said and added that it is a different feeling to meet kith and kin.
To a question, Nandita stated that she wants to help people so that their lives become better. The beauty pageant winner is also an environmentalist. Govardhan Rao, father of Nandita, said that his family came to Srikakulam to share her daughter’s success on international platform.
