No permission to ‘Chalo CMO’, says Vijayawada CP

Hyderabad: The United Teachers Federation (UTF) has called for a CMO programme on Monday demanding that the YSRCP government fulfil the promise made by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy earlier on the abolition of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). However, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata said that permission was not granted to the Chalo CMO' programme, which is being organised by UTF. 

It was clarified that none of the employees should participate in the unauthorised activity and if they do, legal action will be taken against them. He also said that in Vijayawada, along with Section 144, the Police Act 30 should also be enforced.

UTF leaders, however, say they will make the CMO programme a success, even if the police block it. Meanwhile, it seems that the UTF leaders, who are going to ‘Chalo CMO’ are being placed under house arrest by the police.
