KCR meets Thackeray, hints at fighting against Centre's policies

Mumbai:  Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that he had come to Mumbai to discuss the political situation in the country with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Addressing the media in Mumbai on Sunday, he said there was an in-depth discussion between the two and discussions were held on a number of issues. He said he would hold further talks with Thackeray. He also made it clear that he would hold talks with several regional party leaders and disclose the future course of action.

He termed Telangana and Maharashtra are sister states as they both have a 1,000-kilometre border. He said he wanted CM Uddhav Thackeray to come to Hyderabad. KCR said the two states need to work together on a number of issues.

He said that even after 75 years of independence, there were still many problems. He wished that more changes were to come in the country. He clarified that the Central government policies need to be changed.

After the meeting with Uddhav Thackeray, KCR met NCP chief Sharad Pawar and underscored the need for regional parties to fight against the policies of the Centre unitedly.
