Rs 700cr plan to lay high-speed rail track between Vijayawada and Gudur
Bapatla, Dec 13: Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pradeep Kumar on Saturday said they have sent a Rs 700 crore proposal to upgrade the existing rail track between Vijayawada and Gudur to a high-speed railway track to the Railway Board. Speaking to media persons in Bapatla on Saturday, Kumar said the track falls under the Vijayawada division. He said in the first phase they have plans to lay the track that can withstand speeds of up to 130 km.
