Pratyush Sinha panel meet ends, 9 officials present objections
New Delhi, Nov 4: Nine IAS and IPS officials allotted to the AP and Telangana cadres raised their objections on cadre allocations during the concluding meeting of the Pratyush Sinha Committee in New Delhi on Tuesday. After the formation of the two states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the central government had appointed the Pratyush Sinha Committee to look into the distribution of the All India Services officers between the two states. The latest meeting of the panel was held to hear out the objections raised by at least nine IAS and IPS officers. The panel members are now mandated to submit their first list of allocated officers to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for approval. The DoPT is then expected to forward the list to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) before November 11, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to go on a foreign tour on that date. In all probability, the PMO is expected to approve the revised first list of allotment of officials before the prime minister's tour, unconfirmed reports said. Among those who attended the panel meeting included Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma and his AP counterpart IYR Krishna Rao.
