Uddanam Issues: Pawan Kalyan Sets 48hrs Deadline

Itchapuram: Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan slamed government's alleged negligence over the kidney problems and suffering of victims in the Uddanam region over the decades.

After observing the plight of the orphaned children of Uddanam region, he demanded the State government to take immediate steps in 48hrs. He also requested the government to secure the victims future by allocating Rs.100cr.

Pawan Kalyan said "Many children have become orphans as their parents died due to the acute and unkown kidney diseases. State government should either give financial aid or completly adopt them".

On behalf of Janasena, Pawan appointed a special committee with doctors and party members. This committee makes an extensive study and provides a detailed report in 15days. Pawan himself would hand over the study report directly to AP CM Chandrababu seeking his immediate intervention in this issue.

Janasena President made some interesting comments on the government expenditure pattern. "State Govt. has enough funds to conduct Pushkarams and to construct the capital city. But why they are neglecting when the innocent people have been dying due to unknown reasons over the years" he added.

Srikakulam is one of the three regions in the world with the highest concentration of chronic kidney diseases (CKD) as per World Health Organisation. 20,000 plus right from newborns to old age had died of chronic kidney disease in the last two decades.

And currently, lakhs are affected with this chronic kidney disease known as 'Uddanam Nephropathy'. Successive Govts and honorable legislative members of the last two decades could not address this issue effectively.
