Shirdi Sansthan Gets Rs 3cr Banned Notes
Mumbai: After demonetisation, Sai Baba Shirdi Sansthan, which monitors one of the most revered and richest temples in India, has received Rs.3cr in the banned notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000.
Following the currency ban, temples have been informed to submit a detailed report of donated currency for the duration period of November 8 to 24.
Suresh Haware, Chairman, Sai Baba Sansthan Trust told to media that, "Government of India has informed the temples to declare the information of scrapped notes which have been donated. The trust has received Rs 1.27 cr in the Rs 1000 denomination and Rs 1.57 cr in the Rs 500 denomination currency notes."
He also told that 47 donation boxes were placed inside the Baba's temple, opened everyday in front of the trust and devotees.
