KTR to address Melbourne Summit on Dec 5
Hyderabad, Nov.23: Telangana IT and NRI Affairs Minister KT Rama Rao today received an invitation from Australia to participate in India - Australia Leadership Summit to be held in Melbourne on December 5. KTR is to hold parleys with IT, Mining and infrastructure companies besides a possible meeting with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Telangana NRIs and seek companies and industrialists to invest in Telangana.
Australian foreign affairs Minister Julie Bishop has extended the invitation to KTR, through an email, to address the meeting to be attended by the Prime Minister on strengthening bilateral ties between India and Australia. KTR expressed happiness over the invitation, a release said.
About 50 noted personalities including businessmen, ministers playing a key role in government affairs, policy makers, and intellectuals are being invited to the meeting to deal with the functioning of the government, issues related to economic affairs and opportunities in business and trade. KTR is to address the conference and seek Australian government to invest in Telangana and explain the new policies of IT, industries, T-Hub and others. Julie informed that Australian businessmen and industrialists are keen to partner with Telangana in IT, industries, infrastructure, and other wings. The Foreign Affairs Minister in the email sent to KTR said that a meeting with Prime Minister would be arranged, besides other meetings with CEOs of noted companies, ministers, mining officials and a tour of Bio Medical Park in Melbourne. On the sidelines, KTR is likely to hold parleys with NRIs.
