Fake Rs 2,000 note sends shock-waves

Mahbubabad, Nov.13: Discovery of fake currency notes was sending shock waves across the nation within a couple of days of the introduction of new Rs 2000 notes in the country. People are busy with exchanging old Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes in banks and post offices by staying in big queues. But some people brought fake notes into use within days. A Rs 2000 note created chaos in Kuravi village in Mahabubabad district on Sunday. A person, who came to buy petrol gave a fake Rs 2000 note to the petrol bunk staff. While finding the note as a fake one by the petrol bunk staff, the person left the premises. The common people and business community were expressing their concern over the incident.
