‘Congress enacting “Palle Nidra” drama’: KTR
Khammam, Nov.13: IT and MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao today charged the Congress with playing dramas only for political gain.
Addressing a public meeting here today after participating in Rs 100-crore worth developmental works along with Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao and others, KTR alleged that the Congress leaders were enacting another drama in the name of “Palle Nidra”, which is of no use. KTR squarely blamed that those who failed to join the Statehood movement are now coming in the way of development works. The State government has taken up welfare schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, pensions and others though some of them are not in the TRS manifesto, he claimed.
KTR also cited another example that the TRS government was supplying fine rice to welfare hostels, which was being consumed by grandson of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR, he said, the State government was making efforts to complete the projects in time in order to irrigate one crore acres of land across the State. “This promise will be fulfilled despite a number of hurdles being created by the jealousy Opposition Congress party”, he said.
The IT minister said even five years would not be suffice to cleanse the stink and miserable situation which was left behind by the successive governments for 65 years. He attributed the Andhras’ conspiracy behind forcible merger of seven mandals of Khammam into Andhra Pradesh even after achieving statehood. The Congress party has no other job except to stall developmental works in the State due to vendetta, he said, adding that the Congress leaders have adopted one-point program of witch-hunting the government on every issue.
MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MLAs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Balasani Lakshminarayana, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, B Madan Lal and Mayor Papalal were present.
