Uttam growing beard to highlight people’s woes: Mallu Ravi
Hyderabad, Nov.3: Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has wasted public money of Rs 10 crore for Gods and Goddesses of Tirupati, Vijayawada and Warangal, TPCC vice-president Dr. Mallu Ravi said TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy was not wasting public money but was only growing his beard.
Ravi said Minister KT Rama Rao has no right to speak against Uttam Kumar Reddy. He said KTR’s criticism that one cannot become chief minister if he grows the beard, but certainly becomes a ‘Sanyasi’, shows his arrogant attitude due to power.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, along with party leaders Pyata Ravi and Nagesh Mudiraj, Ravi questioned KCR, who had said earlier that he would not tolerate even his family members if they indulge in corrupt practices, to tell as to why he was not initiating action against any one when Rs 300 crore corruption took place in KTR’s Municipal Administration Ministry.
Ravi also said it was not proper for KCR’s family members to indulge in personal attacks on Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was speaking on farmers’ loan waiver, students’ fees reimbursement and Arogyasree schemes, instead of answering his questions. He also asked whether KCR became No. 1 CM for not waiving off farmers loan or for not releasing arrears of fees reimbursement or for not distributing 3-acre land each Dalit family or for not constructing double bed room houses for poor? He demanded that KCR family members stop personal attacks and fulfill the assurances made by TRS party.
