Kishan Reddy slams KCR for calling MIM as friendly party
Hyderabad, Oct.14: Launching a scathing attack on TRS government, BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly G Kishan Reddy today alleged that the ruling party has adopted an “appeasement policy” by encouraging the AIMIM. Speaking to the media at State party office here on Friday, Kishan Reddy accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of insulting Opposition parties by making ridiculous comments to appease the MIM. “It was shameful for KCR to declare MIM as a friendly party of TRS, which stoutly opposed formation of Telangana State, he said, adding that it was an affront to Telangana people as TRS has a tacit understanding with the MIM which had opposed separate Telangana State. “The ruling TRS stooped down to such a level that it was consulting the MIM and ignoring the Opposition parties”, Kishan Reddy alleged, adding that the TRS was following the same vote bank policy of Congress. “The Chief Minister was taking every decision after consulting MIM. How can MIM become a friendly party of TRS?, he asked and demanded that KCR explain this. He alleged that KCR did not celebrate September 17 under the pressure of the MIM. Referring to the new districts, Kishan Reddy said the State government had first announced that new district of Vikarabad would be named as Anantagiri. But later it has changed its stand due to pressure from the MIM. The BJP leader also said it would be no wrong if Hyderabad was rechristened as Bhagyanagar when metro cities’ names like Madras, Bombay, Calcutta and Rajahmundry were changed. Kishan Reddy said the comment of Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) was unfortunate.
