Etela, Harish alone will win in snap poll, predicts Komatireddy
Hyderabad, Oct.14: Stating that Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao would only win if mid-term elections were conducted in the State, Nalgonda Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy asserted Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would not win in Gajwel whenever elections are conducted. He also said he would not contest elections in 2019 if the two MLAs and one MP, who changed their loyalties to TRS from Nalgonda district win in the by-elections after tendering resignations to their posts. Speaking to the media at Assembly media hall here on Friday, Komatireddy asked the Chief Minister, who predicted that the Opposition parties would win only 7 to 8 seats in the elections if conducted now, to disclose the names of those 7 to 8 constituencies where the Opposition parties will win the election. Komatireddy said the Congress was ready to disclose the number of seats and names of the constituencies where TRS would win the elections. He said Congress candidate will win in Gajwel constituency too. “Why the people would cast their votes to you? What you have done for them to vote for you?”, he asked. He also pointed out that KCR failed to make a Dalit as Chief Minister, not paid fees reimbursement, failed to clear arrears of Arogyasree, failed to waive loans of farmers, he added. Stating that the Chief Minister failed to visit previous 10 districts, Komatireddy claimed that KCR would take 30 years to visit the present 31 districts. “It is easy for the people to get darshan of the God but not darshan of the Chief Minister”, he alleged. He faulted KCR for thinking that elections could be won with money. Stating that KCR was thinking that he would win the elections as he has created new districts, Komatireddy said KCR should not forget that “Nataratna” and late chief minister N T Rama Rao faced defeat even after creating mandals. Komatireddy said the KCR government would not come back even if he made 131 districts instead of 31. The Chief Minister neglected the Education and Health sectors, he bemoaned and alleged that the Chief Minister spent Rs.450 crore for the publicity campaign instead of spending the same on Arogyasree scheme to extend treatment to the poor. It was unfortunate that the TRS government was passing time by making allegations against the previous governments even after two-and-a-half years of governance, he said and warned that the people would revolt against his government. He also alleged that the TRS leaders were looting the State by assigning the Telangana projects to four Andhra contractors, he alleged. He said Finance Minister Etela Rajender responded in a positive manner when he met and urged the latter to set up IKP centers to collect food grains.
