High Court Asked Assembly Speaker to Dispose Off Dusqualification Petitions Within 90 Days
Hyderabad, Sept. 21: The Hyderabad High Court today directed the Telangana Assembly Speaker to dispose off petitions seeking disqualification of defectors of TDP, who switched loyalties to the ruling TRS within 90 days. Twelve TDP legislators have joined TRS party which was challenged by TDP leader A Revanth Reddy. The high court passed the interim order on a petition filed by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader A. Revanth Reddy, challenging the Speaker's action in merging TDP with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) while keeping the petitions seeking disqualification of rebel MLAs waiting for action. After the high court orders the counsel for Revanth Reddy, told media that the judge asked the Speaker to dispose off the petitions in three months' time. TDP Telangana has welcomed the orders of the court and demanded the resignation of minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and other MLAs who joined TRS party.
