TRS ridicules Amith Shah’s dreams of capturing Telangana
Hyderabad, Sept.18: In a swift retaliation, the TRS leadership took on BJP national president Amit Shah for his pungent remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the State Government over the failure of conducting September 17 as Telangana Liberation Day.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy lashed out at Shah stating that the latter was noted for telling wrong accounts. As the BJP had no role in Telangana Armed Struggle, it should stop meddling in the issue of celebrating September 17 as Telangana Liberation Day, he suggested. Amith Shah is notorious for carrying out misinformation campaigning against his rivals, he said.
He also pooh poohed Amith Shah’s comments that the BJP would come to power in Telangana in future. “It is impossible for the saffron party to come to power in the State as the TRS is all set to clinch power for next two decades”, he remarked. He also alleged that the BJP, under Amit Shah’s leadership, was spending huge money to come to power in various States. Rajeshwar Reddy asked Shah to clarify how much money he spent to purchase Congress MLAs in Arunachal Pradesh. He sought to know as to why the previous Congress or Telugu Desam Governments did not celebrate Telangana Liberation Day on September 17. He dismissed Shah’s remarks that the KCR Government had failed to implement Central schemes. Rajeshwar Redy said the Central schemes are not helpful to the people at all, he charged.
