Kavuri accuses Sonia of dividing AP to make his son PM

Vijayawada, Sept.14: Former Union minister and BJP leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao has strongly criticized Congress president Sonia Gandhi for dividing united Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Kavuri alleged that with an ambition to make her son Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi has played politics and divided the State anticipating that the party would win more MP seats if Telangana were created. Kavuri stated that he had asked the party to think comprehensively before taking a decision of bifurcation and consult Seemandra leaders to elicit their opinion. “The Congress was solely responsible for the present condition of Andhra Pradesh,” he accused. The BJP leader asserted that there was no corruption at present as we experienced it during Congress regime. The Centre has announced a special package for development of the residual State and Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu played a major role for the package, he said. He also appreciated Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for welcoming the package and alleged that YSRCP was trying to break relations between the TDP and BJP.
