MLA proposes Bharat Ratna for Rajinikant
Maharashtra BJP MLA Anil Gote has proposed the highest civilian award `Bharat Ratna' for Kollywood Star Rajinikant. Making a recommendation in this regard, Gote urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to give the highest State award `Maharashtra Bhushan' to Rajinikant. Gote proposed that the Maharashtra Assembly should pass a resolution, appealing to the President to confer the Bharat Ratna on Rajinikant. Pointing out that the Tamil people considered Rajinikant as demigod, the MLA noted that Rajinikant's ancestors belonged to Maharashtra because he is a Gaikwad.
