Kandmelli rivulet in floods, hits Tandur-city traffic

Vehicular traffic between Tandoor and Vikarabad in neighboring Rangareddy district was affected following overflowing of the Kandmelli Musi Rivulet on Friday. In view of heavy rains in catchment areas of the Musi river for the last two days, flood water from Nawabpet side entered the Musi rivulet, causing traffic jam. Traffic was disrupted not only between Tandur and Vikarabad, it also affected traffic movement towards Hyderabad city. Traffic woes of the general public further increased, as the Kandmelli flood water is gushing under the bridge which was not completed even after four years. The people are waiting on both sides to cross the overflowing rivulet.
