Harish happy as TRS Union wins RTC mazdoor poll

Telangana State RTC will be put into a growth path with collective efforts of the staff, workers and government. This was stated by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao after the Telangana Mazdoor Union sweeping the TSRTC elections. The TMU leaders, including Ashwatham Reddy and others called on Harish Rao at Ministers Quarters in Hyderabad. Congratulating the workers on the landslide victory in 10 regions out of 11 across the State, Harish Rao vowed to help the TSRTC. “The win of TMU, an outfit attached to the ruling TRS, has increased our responsibility and we will work in tandem for the RTC growth and welfare of its staff and workers”, he stated. “Though past governments tried to privatize the RTC, our Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all for the welfare of staff by giving them 44 per cent salary hike”, he claimed. The Minister also said KCR was trying to strengthen the public sector organization and enable the staff to live with self-respect. The State government had released Rs 350 crore for the purchase of new buses for the TSRTC, he added.
