Smart Pulse Survey hits snags, TDP cadre worried

Owing to the people's apprehensions about the consequences of the Smart Pulse Survey, the Telugu Desam cadre all over Andhra Pradesh is worried that the survey will tell on the party's prospects in the future. Some of the key indicators that are being asked in the 88-point survey include Bank Passbook details, gas and ration card details, vehicles that the family possesses, old current bills, Aadhar and PAN card details, house dimensions, loans taken in the past, interest payments being made, extent of farms and the type of sowing in the fields. All these are making people wary and leading to their worry. The Telugu Desam supporters are especially anxious against giving themselves away by the survey. They are telling their leaders about their anxiety. Following the many complaints, even the leaders are worried. They are of the view that while tabulation of the economic and other details maybe a good idea, the survey would go against the party's interests eventually. The people are worried that they may lose welfare provisions such as subsidised groceries on the one hand, the middle class, on the other, is worried that they may lose the gas subsidy. While Telangana completed the survey in one day on the promise of giving land sites and so on, the longer AP version is creating fears among the people.
