Who is the superstar in the country? Is it Rajnikant of Kollywood or any of the three Khans of Bollywood? In terms of years of activity, number of films made, hits per year, Box Office, longest successful streak, Rajnikant beats them all, but he comes a cropper at the Box Office criterion. The reasons are not far to seek. Rajnikant caters to the Tamils, and indirectly the South. But the Khans have wider spread over the North and beyond in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
