Paytm, Heritage Fresh sign accord for card payments

Taking yet another foray in extending its reach and use, Paytm, India’s largest mobile payment and commerce platform, has entered into a strategic alliance with leading grocery retailer in South India - Heritage Fresh. Payment though Paytm will now be accepted at all 114 supermarkets of Heritage Fresh across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. Increasing consumer options for O2O (Online-to-Offline) transactions at various points of sale, Paytm aims at providing more and more users the convenience and safety of cashless transactions. It seeks to eliminate everyday problems manifested by hard cash such as the need for small change, counterfeit notes, defaced currency etc. Moreover, using Paytm wallet also opens up a world of promotional offers for customers who use it at the listed stores, Dharmender Matai, Chief Operating Officer, Heritage Fresh, said. By entering into a strategic alliance with Heritage Fresh, Paytm has broadened its reach while cementing its presence in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
