Vizag engineer released by Nigerian rebels
Sai Srinivas, of Vizag, who was kidnapped in Nigeria 17 days ago, was released by the kidnappers on Saturday. He immediately rang up his family in Vizag and told them he was safe and he would be coming back soon. As soon as the kidnap of the Vizag engineer was announced, the family had approached Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to use the good offices with the External Affairs Ministry to get him released. The Chief Minister complied with the request, but no result was found. After 17 days of captivity, the kidnappers released Sai Srinivas.
