Baavare Sayya … song disturbs Babu, august occasion

Even as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was addressing the media marking the visit of governor ESL Narasimhan to Velagapudi on Thursday, an item song, `Bavare sayya..., a big hit in yesteryears, was being played, disturbing the august occasion. In fact, everything religious had been organised for the Governor's visit. Vedic pandits were there to give blessings. Shehnayi (Sannayi) music was kept ready. The only blunder was the wrong music was played, even as Chandrababu started speaking. The well-composed and picturised item song started blaring from the sound system. Chandrababu was visibly angry. Officials tried to shoo off the music players. But they were in the seventh heaven and would not listen to the caution. TV channels showing the media conference live had to mute the sound, but the song Baavare Sayya … was blaring. Silk Smitha, who used to play vamp roles, Kota and Babu Mohan acted in the song number.
