Gutta flays Congress leaders for Mallannasagar row

Congress MP who joined the TRS, Gutta Sukhender Reddy, on Tuesday questioned why his parent party leaders were creating such a racket out of the compensation for the Mallannasagar oustees. He explained that under the Mallannasagar project, irrigation water would be supplied to 250,000 acres in Medak. When it was thus useful, why didn't the Congress leaders say a word when the Pulichintala project was being commissioned? Not even a single acre in Telangana was irrigated under Pulichintala. He wondered why PCC president Uttamkumar Reddy and former minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy were criticising the Mallannsagar construction. He wanted to know the reason why they had kept silent about Pulichintala and criticising land acquisition for the Mallannasagar. The MP expressed concern over the lawyers' agitation and the sack of two judges of Telangana by the Telangana High Court. He appealed to the High Court to reconsider the suspension of the judges. He urged the Centre to find a solution to the problem.
